What does a franchise consultant do?
A franchise consultant helps you navigate the entire franchise discovery process — from identifying opportunities that align with your goals, lifestyle, and budget, to introducing you directly to franchisors. I help you avoid common mistakes, save time, and approach the process strategically, with guidance at every step.
How much does it cost to work with you?
There’s no cost to you. I’m compensated by the franchisor only if and when you decide to move forward and purchase a franchise. This allows you to get expert guidance and unbiased advice at no charge.
How do you find franchise opportunities for your clients?
I work out of a portfolio with hundreds of franchise brands across multiple industries — from home services and health & fitness to food concepts and emerging brands. Using proprietary databases, insider contacts, and first-hand experience, I curate a small number of options that make sense for your situation and market.
How long does the process take?
It depends on your timeline and level of research, but most clients move from first conversation to decision within 8 to 12 weeks. You set the pace — my job is to keep the process organized, informed, and moving forward at a comfortable speed.
Do you only work with people who already know what kind of franchise they want?
Not at all. Most of my clients start with little to no idea what brand or even what industry they want to explore. My process helps you clarify what kind of business model fits your skills, goals, and budget — then match you to opportunities that align.
How do I know if franchising is right for me?
Franchising can be a great fit if you want to own a business but value the structure, brand, and support of a proven system. Beyond the backing of the franchisor, one of the biggest advantages is being part of a community of fellow franchise owners around the country, the people who are in the trenches every day, sharing insights, challenges, and wins. If you like the idea of being in business for yourself but not by yourself, franchising might be the right path.
What if I decide franchising isn’t for me?
That’s perfectly fine. Then I did my job! My goal is to help you make an informed decision — even if that decision is to not buy a franchise. Many clients walk away feeling more confident about what they want to do next, whether it’s franchising or something else entirely.
Can you help me find franchise resales or existing locations for sale?
Yes. While most opportunities involve new territories, I also help clients identify franchise resales — existing locations where the owner is selling their business. These can be appealing if you’d rather step into an operation with existing customers, employees, and cash flow. Reviewing potential resales is always part of my standard search process.
What types of people do you typically work with?
I work with a wide range of clients, from corporate professionals exploring business ownership, to investors seeking semi-absentee opportunities, to families looking for something they can grow together. The common thread: they all want more control over their time, income, and future.

I work with many clients who know what industry they want to buy in or even the brand. We can help you with the vetting and due diligence process in an advisory/coaching capacity.
Are you able to search what franchises are available in my area?
Yes. Part of my process includes researching which franchise territories are still open in your area and which brands are actively expanding there. Because I work directly with hundreds of franchisors, I can quickly find out what’s available and sometimes even identify off-market or soon-to-be-open territories that aren’t publicly listed yet.
